I believe art can transform a space
—and a heart—by filling
it with beauty, light, and hope.

About Me

Colorado has been one of the biggest players in my artistic journey.  I moved here from Southern California at the age of 23, leaving art school at Cal State Long Beach in the rear-view mirror with no regrets.  You can see my happy face above as I experienced my first-ever fall snow storm.

Since those days,  painting has become the way I  communicate my  wonder and joy when I experience a dramatic scene that moves me. If I can enable others to experience that delight along me, then I've  succeeded.

Because my faith plays a pivotal role in my life, it makes sense that it's also reflected in my art. My goal is to reveal for you in some small way the majesty, beauty, and power of God through every piece in I create.

The juicy, rich qualities of both oils and watercolors are perfect for capturing the glory and wonder of my Colorado home as well as the scenes and people that fascinate me. I prefer loosely rendered images of landscapes, wildlife, flowers, and ranchlands because this allows you the viewer to add your own interpretation to my art.  (And because I would get bored rendering intricate details!)

My favorite way of explaining this is that I only flirt with my subject matter, I don't marry it.  I look forward to many more flirtations in the future!
