As a 22 year-old graphic design student at Long Beach State University, I experienced my first taste of the unique medium of watercolor. The mesmerizing interaction between water, pigment, and paper utterly captivated my senses and eventually became my primary way of sharing my love of nature and beauty. I added oils to my art repertoire in 2018, which greatly expanded my creative joy.
I grew up in Pasadena, California, moving to Colorado in my early 20's. I lived, married, and raised my family in the small mountain town of Buena Vista and moved to Cortez, Colorado in 2019.
Today I find delight painting in my light-filled studio in the very heart of my home. With you in mind, I portray the drama of Mesa Verde, Arches, and Canyonlands National Parks; the bold skies and lush ranchlands of SW Colorado; as well as the beauty and fun of flowers, animals, people, and delightful moments in life.
